Christine Lou Hoch
Christine Lou Hoch, 46, of Macomb Township, died Friday, Nov. 11, 2005, at Crittenton Hospital, Rochester Hills. She was born Feb. 28, 1959, in Shawano, Wis.
Mrs. Hoch, a graduate of St. James Lutheran School and Shawano High School, married Robert Hoch on Jan. 10, 1981, in St. James Lutheran Church, Shawano. She earned a bachelor’s of science degree from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire and a master’s degree from Saginaw Valley State University.
She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Macomb Township, a Bible study teacher at church for many years, a member of the Women’s Ministry and an avid supporter of her daughters’ sports activities. She was a faculty member and health and physical education teacher at Lutheran High School North.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; daughters, Lacey Christine and Afton Alyssa, both of Macomb Township; parents, Richard and Jacquelyn Umland of Shawano; paternal grandmother, Lucille Umland of Shawano; brother, Robert Umland of Shawano; sister, Carrie (Brian) Beilfuss of Bonduel, Wis.; father- and mother-in-law, Theodore and Ruth Hoch of Walled Lake; nephews, Robert and Alec Umland, Noah and Adam Beilfuss; and many special aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at Lutheran High School North, 16825 24 Mile Road, Macomb Township; followed by a funeral worship service at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 17051 24 Mile Road, Macomb Township, with the Rev. Dr. Robert E. Kasper officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Macomb Township.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 1-8 p.m. Sunday at Hauss Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank (north of 21 Mile Road), Macomb Township. Additional visitation is 10-11 a.m. Monday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christine Hoch Memorial Fund at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Macomb Township.
