Phew.
This has been a long week. Since it snows a bit nearly every day, Mike has to plow the lot before school. And since he’s my ride, and I’m his alarm clock, we keep the same hours no matter what. So Wednesday we went in at 5 AM and Thursday we went in at 4 AM. The good thing is that I get lots of school work done – what else can you do at 4 AM in your classroom? The bad thing is that we tend to get home around 4 PM and crash. Sometimes this week I never got up. Mike wakes me after a couple of hours to see if I want to eat any of the food people send us three times a week. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t. Then I go back to sleep. It doesn’t help that I have SAD and as soon as it’s dark again, I’m done (usually 6 PM.)
I hate winter so much that this may be the best way to make it speed right by! I do have to say that I’m still forcing myself to walk to the mailbox every day, no matter what the weather, and I haven’t caved and brought my notebook upstairs, so I’m doing stairs a lot too. Just keep plugging along. March is just around the corner.
Doctor’s next week and blood counts. Pray for double digits!

Prayers for you.
Robin, don’t you have any other teachers that could give you a ride to school at a more reasonable hour? I know you’re up early (that’s an understatement usually.. I always see you posting at 3 a.m.), but you need more rest than this. You don’t live far, can’t Mike just swing by later and grab you – should only take a couple of minutes…
@Emjay1 - After school, no matter what time I get there, I fall into bed and sleep straight through sometimes. For instance, last night I slept from 4 to 10, then 11 to 7 AM. That’s two complete nights of sleep for me. So it’s not that I don’t sleep. I *need* to keep up with my work, and it just doesn’t happen at home anymore, so this is a good thing. Plus, I get there by 6 AM anyway even if we don’t go in early…
As for swinging by and grabbing me, it isn’t that easy. He can’t leave the building unlocked, so he has to wait till there are people there. And once there are people there, there are PEOPLE there. Don’t you remember drop off and pick up at the high school? It’s no better here. In fact it may be worse because most of the kids drive themselves.
If it were in my power to send you an energy ( and sleep ) infusion I would happily do it. This is the hardest part- just to keep putting one foot in front of the other but I firmly believe the day will come soon when you will look back on this and say “Yes that was hard but I perservered and now my life is better.” I believe this will happen because God is holding you in the palm of his hand. Hang in there, Robin, we are all pulling for you.
Praying for lower readings and higher temps for you!
Praying for good results, Robin! Spring is on its way! Keep the faith, dear friend….
…So I ran into someone you know/knew tonight… an Elaine from Dondero that you used to baby sit? I forget what she said her last name was (Miller? Can’t remember… too much Bunco in my head…). We were talking about Facebook and she mentioned that she couldn’t put in her school – and I said maybe there was a Dondero alumni group on facebook – I’d ask you – and that’s when she said she knew who you were!
