  • Gratitude

People have been saying some very nice things about me lately, and I’m not sure I deserve them.  No, I’m not being falsely modest, but I just want to make sure everyone who reads me understands where my strength, my courage, my “inspiration” comes from.  Three little letters.  G O D.  Today’s Verse of the Day on my iGoogle said this:

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

See?  God’s grace is sufficient.  He’s all I need.  His power is made perfect in MY weakness.  That’s why I talk about my cancer all the time.  My hope is that people will see God’s work in my life.  Not MY strength, MY courage, MY inspiration.  No.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

And as I keep saying over and over, no matter what happens, I will be healed.

Jeremiah 29:11  For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

  • Amen.  But you are still pretty amazing!

  • You deserve every good thing said about you.  ‘Nuff said.

  • Jeremiah 29:11  is one of my alltime favorites.  We begin our mini move tomorrow.  As i see so many fellow Christians being challenged in different areas of their lives…this last few months have been one of the most challenging times in our married life…second to Dan’s heart attack & quad bypass.  We are SO relying on God to carry us through all of this & bring us out to the other side.  Your post is so timely. Thanks for the inspiration.  blessings to you ….and the awesomeness that God brings out in you :)

  • I totally understand that it is GOD who is amazing.  But you are a wonderful servant who allows God to do amazing work through her.  That isn’t always easy to do from a human standpoint.

  • Absolutely some of my favorite verses/promises….

But along with the others, you DO deserve a lot of good things said about you! You have made yourself available to Him, to bring glory to Him…. and to be a channel of his grace and love to others.
